Helen offers psychological therapy and counselling to people over 10 years of age via face-to-face, telehealth or telephone appointments.
Individual therapy is available for people who are experiencing mental health difficulties including: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, forced adoption, trauma, emotion regulation dysfunction, carer support, post dementia diagnosis support, perinatal and infant mental health, disordered eating, borderline personality disorder, social skills training and low self-esteem.
Helen can also offer initial consultations for a wide range of mental health concerns including addiction issues and works closely with other professionals who may provide suitable services.
The Plains Psychology works with each person to tailor the most appropriate interventions for their needs.
Helen has completed training in evidence-based therapies including;
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT),
- Trauma Informed Practices and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
She has an ongoing commitment to professional development in evidence-based teachings.
Helen Stanley’s fee is $180 per hour. A rebate may apply with a current Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or through your private health insurance. Helen has a Medicare provider number.
